A German national, he lived in East Berlin (GDR) until 1988. He studied at the Kunsthochschule and worked with great German designers such as Karl Lagerfeld.

He moved to Chile in 1992 where he continues his studies and research in Clothing and Textile Design.

In recent years he has directed his approach towards researching new pattern design techniques that allow clothing to be personalized.
