I understand the workshop as an opportunity to fully experience the issue of sustainability in the design and pattern of clothing,

.

“I have created the Annegret Couture trouvée brand and I prepare a sample based on this concept. I am re-contextualizing our forgotten clothing and textile imitations. This concept as the common thread of a wardrobe creation is like the casual Duchampian encounter, something related to L'Objet Trouvée. The forgotten object is always a found object ”.

.

“I seek to intersect forgotten or found pieces and bring them to the dissection table to create new visual senses, creating unique wardrobe pieces, as in the case of the coat and skirt with which I created a dress. Something returns and something leaves in these pieces, the original piece appearing at times in new places, it is the displacement of its own origin but without forgetting it, letting its memory breathe in something contemporary ”.

.

I have called this displacement of memory "Couture Trouvée" , a surreal tribute from textile design. This is the initial idea of the first of a series of workshops that advances based on this common thread, to deliver not only a tailoring technique, but also and most importantly, a vision of contemporary costume design with a creative line, to share the idea of sustainability in it ”.

.

“In concrete terms, the initial idea of this workshop is to teach a contemporary technique, which will allow us to individualize the pattern of clothing. And then, as the final objective of this event, is to show how this technique can be applied to a new model of sustainable design ”.

.

.

Registrations and inquiries for the workshop, which lasts two days and takes place at the Mackenna Roof, those interested can write to the mail

contacto@annegret.cl or what's app +569 8556 5795.

The activity has another objective: to experience and exchange knowledge about the issue of sustainability and the clothing archive with creatives from design, theater, art and image in general, providing new experiences to the participants.

.

"This technique that I am going to teach makes us remember how unique the geography of the human body is and that it works as a vehicle to build personalized patterns"

.

At the same time, I want to affirm that "the rescue of memory" plays a decisive role in "sustainable" design. That is why I propose "to reflect and observe, from a perspective different from the traditional use of resources in fashion design, to create unique, unpublished and author's designs".

Este workshop es una oportunidad para explorar el trazado de patrones mediante el método Couture trouvé, que funciona a la inversa  y que nos permite aproximar hacía las formas orgánicas de cada cuerpo.
